The Wilde South

This excursion will take us to the discovery of one of the island's natural areas located in the southern part of the unspoiled Jandia’s Natural Park, where time has stood still. During the trip we will stop at one of the existing "MIRADOR" from where we will enjoy an impressive view of the west coast (and a great opportunity for fabulous pictures). We will then move to Morro Jable to visit a “special nursery" for baby sea turtles: a great wild life experince. We will learn about these cute and sweet animals (in danger of extinction) including some of their characteristics. Our next stop will be the “small” village of Cofete, wrapped in a mysterious atmosphere created by the legends surrounding "Winter’s manor". Here, we will enjoy a walk on the bronze-colour sandy beach which is as well the reintroduction zone for the sea turtles….and waves permitting, a relaxing/fun swim in the blue ocean. We will continue towards "Jandia’s Cape", this area around the cliff overlooking the ocean, and visit the lighthouse museum, that gives great opportunities to learn more about the local plants and animals. All along the journey we can suggest local restaurants or beautiful places for an unforgettable picnic.
